Preheat oven to 350 degrees F(175C.)
Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt then set aside
Cream the butter, sugar and brown sugar until smooth 45 seconds - 1 min. (do not over beat)
Add egg and vanilla then beat until there's no traces of egg yolk 15- 20 seconds.
Add flour mixture then mix until fully combined.
Add chocolate chips and chopped chocolate then stir to combine 15 - 20 seconds.
Use a tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop dough on to ungreased sheet pan lined with baking mat or parchment paper. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.
Bake for 12-14 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly golden brown around the edges. Cool on wire racks.
